Who should attend
Professionals in the NHS and private sectors; surgeons, burns and plastics specialists, breast nurses, anaplastologists and maxillofacial prosthetists who wish to set up a Medical Tattooing practice in their hospital or advance their skill and knowledge. Trained cosmetic tattoo specialists wishing to advance their aesthetic tattooing skills.
This is a 3 day course. You will learn how to offer your patients visual aesthetic improvements for: areola restoration and re-pigmentation; scar camouflage by pigmentation and Micro-Needling; scalp camouflage; skin graft mosaic techniques. The course will touch on facial procedures in theory only but will not cover eyebrow, eye and lip procedures. We will take you through the theory behind colour choice, understanding skin and surgery. The course will give you a complete grounding in all of the theory needed to successfully implement medical tattooing into your practice.
- Measuring and marking of the NAC: nipple areola complex
- How to create 3D nipple enhancement (using the illusion of protrusion)
- How to create a borderless areola (when the patient requires a very light and natural areola)
- How to adjust and camouflage the nipple/areola complex on asymmetrical breasts
- Learn how and when to consider Micro-Needling for scarring vs. pigmenting with skin camouflage colours
- Procedural choices and techniques for improving trauma and surgical scars
- How to mosaic colour into skin grafts
- Working with vitiligo
- Scalp camouflage and stubble techniques
- Selecting the right needle for each procedure using the Precision Plus medical tattoo system
- Understanding your pigment and how to correctly implant.
- Understanding and choosing the correct colour to implant and how to adjust and alter unwanted colour hues.
- Learn how to create different effects with block colour and colour washes
- Learn how to implant colour into different skin types; healthy skin, grafted skin and patients with burns
