Today, we congratulate 2 trainees at Head Office who have successfully completed their final assessments and will graduate with a Finishing Touches Diploma in Semi Permanent Make Up. Sarah and Susan have finished all their case studies for semi permanent lip liner, permanent eyeliner and semi permanent eyebrows.
Well done girls and welcome to the satisfying and lucrative world of micropigmentation. The Finishing Touches team will continue to offer advice, support and education throughout their careers, offering career progression onto medical tattooing, scar improvement, skin camouflage and tattoo removal.
Dawn and I are in Berlin today attending an international meeting for Amiea permanent make up distributors. Its great, 55 people, 26 countries, 11 languages spoken, all talking about semi permanent eyebrows, lips and eyeliner.
Loads of new initiatives, techniques and machines coming next year. Later we will have a presentation on brow pigments which fade evenly and do not change colour – at last! Miriam and Avital Keiser from Israel are ng how they run their roadshows and conferences and it has reminded me how much we all work together so well. Lots happening lots to tell you but right now I need to show off my lack of language skills by shouting english slowly at clever multi lingual people.
I love Open Days and Exhibitions. Its great to be able to meet face to face and chat to people who are interested in our industry or are thinking of training. Every time I talk about Cosmetic and Medical Tattooing it always reminds me of the great things our industry can achieve. We really do teach you how to change peoples lives.
With Ruth Kane and Tarryn Vice offering treatments and Dawn Forshaw holding court in the Medical Tattooing room, the rest of the team were able to give advice and information to all who attended. We demonstrated permanent eyebrows, eyeliner, lip contour treatments, removed radiotherapy marks and treated some scars.
As we move into the evening session, the wine is chilling and there is a lovely buzz around the place. Still to come, more brows and eyeliner and a demonstration of Christian eyebrow 24 hour powders. A very happy office here today and several ladies who have taken the first steps by training to offer these fabulous treatments to their clients. Congratulations!
